About TrueByte Tech

Good technology, described honestly.

TrueByte Tech is an online store for new, used and refurbished laptops, everyday gadgets and the accessories that go with them. We think buying a computer should feel clear — so every listing tells you what you’re getting, including the parts other shops leave out.

What we sell

Five shelves, one standard.

Whether it’s sealed in the box or has had a previous owner, each item is listed with full specifications and the condition stated up front.

How we describe condition

Three labels. No guesswork.

Every product carries one condition label. For anything pre-owned, the listing adds specific notes so you can judge it for yourself before you buy.

  • Cosmetic wear: scratches, scuffs or marks we can see
  • Battery health, where it can be measured
  • Screen and keyboard notes
  • What’s in the box, including the charger
  • Warranty or checking period, when one applies
New

New

Unused and in its original packaging. Manufacturer warranty applies where the brand offers one in your region — the listing says which.

Used

Used

Previously owned and sold as-is in working order. Normal signs of use are expected, and we describe the ones that matter.

Refurbished

Refurbished

Pre-owned, then inspected and restored to full working order. Parts may have been cleaned, replaced or upgraded — the listing explains what.

Buying pre-owned

What to expect when your laptop has a history.

A pre-owned laptop can be excellent value. These are the things worth knowing before you order.

  1. 01

    Read the condition notes

They describe the specific unit or batch you’re buying. Photos may be representative, so the written notes are the source of truth.

  2. 02

    Expect honest signs of use

Used items can have light marks on the lid, base or keys. Anything beyond normal wear is called out in the listing.

  3. 03

    Batteries age

Battery capacity naturally drops over time. Where we can measure it, the health is shown; runtime will be lower than when the laptop was new.

  4. 04

    Check the box contents

Pre-owned laptops usually come without original packaging. The listing states whether a charger and any extras are included.

  5. 05

    Look for the warranty line

Some items include a warranty or a checking period and some don’t. Whatever applies is written on the product page — nothing is implied beyond it.

  6. 06

    Inspect on arrival

Power it on, check the screen, keys and ports, and contact us quickly with your order number if something doesn’t match the description.

What we care about

Simple principles we hold ourselves to.

Clarity

Full specifications in plain language, so you can compare models properly.

Honesty

Condition stated up front. If we know about a flaw, so do you.

Security

Protected checkout and a private account for your orders and addresses.

Real answers

Ask before you buy — we’d rather help you choose than sell the wrong thing.
